Reading, Henley is a quiet and relaxed around the hills and forests of the Chiltern Hills, a place to relax as you stroll along the river, enjoy the buildings of the time, or a sample of local attractions.

It goes back at least 1179, Henley is a charming small historic market town with many hidden delights to discover. With a traditional market week on Thursday in the heart of the city dates back to a letter from King John of the late thirteenth century, Henley is the perfect place to enjoy the atmosphere of a quaint, but lively market in English. While markets may be in the center of the city, Henley is also famous for more than their markets. Steeped in history, Henley suffered at the hands of both sides in the English Civil War and briefly served as a resting place of William III in 1668 on his way to London. Full of history also is an icon of Henley five arch bridge spanning the Thames, built in 1786 still offers the most spectacular river views and links Henley rowing club on numerous occasions at the center of the city. The River Thames is central to life in Henley, and as some of the best sports bars in Henley and hotels on its shores is also home to world famous Henley Royal Regatta. The Henley Royal Regatta is the height of the social calendar and attracts visitors from near and far for a week of festivities and entertainment.
Closely linked to the Regatta is the famous Leander Rowing Club, one of the oldest clubs in the world and the honor of presenting the current British Gold Medalists among its members.
